What to do....

Anyone in north Snohomish county/south Skagit county want to help catch an abandoned flock of chickens?

I went riding dirt bikes yesterday and today, and sitting in a little turn out off of Peter Burns Rd is a flock of chickens. One rooster and a bunch of hens. I have been going there almost every weekend for years and not once have I seen chickens on the side of the road. Even so, they have no shelter, no food. Called animal control and they said they won’t do anything as they’re considered wild animals... yes they can make it on their own, but they won’t even leave the little turn out. Currently they’re huddled under a tree and soaking wet.

Maybe I’ll at least bring them some food

They’re not mine. From what I can tell, they were left on the gravel road, as they’re not leaving that spot.

Pondering on it...

If I get that “wild hair”, I’ll go up there after dark this week. I wouldn’t want to put them with everyone without quarantine, have a stall they could stay in for a bit.

Ya take a flashlight and something to put them in or extra bodies would be even better..

Mine has given in I have 35 birds now went and picked up nine month olds Gal I got them through and I are friends now
