Where I lived in Texas, tamales were sold by some ladies going door to door in town. A friend of mine made them to sell for fund raising for church mission trips. Homemade ones are the best! I have never made one myself.
When I lived in Colorado you were lucky if you found someone to sell them! That’s definitely the way to go!

Good morning! Have a successful week before Christmas! Yesterday, found rat poo in one of the nesting boxes! So, discovered and excavated all the tunnels under the board panels that were in the ground around the coop. Dug a 6" trench and placed flat, rectangular concrete pavers vertically flush with the coop bottom board. :flThe railroad tie plates seem to be holding on the other side. We have enough extension cords to plug in their heated water fount, and just in time. Forecast after Christmas is below freezing. We have flurries, light snow through the next day, then rain all weekend. Two hens are in their raggedy stage of molting. Do you think they will be ok with temps in the 20's?

Wishing all of you a Blessed Christmas!
