I’m sorry you lost power, but your area is gorgeous. We live in Seattle now but I’m from rural Louisiana. It’s nice that we don’t have to drive to far to get back out into the country.Yesterday's was over 6,000 over all, out of a total of 36,000 LCPUD customers. I was just saying there were 1,600 customers effected in our local outage. I think that may have been everyone in the greater Toledo area. Afterall, there are less than 700 people in the town proper -- count that as people, not customers. I think they consider each account a customer, not the amount of people living there. This was today's outage.

It always seems to be the trees. We had a large one fall near the freeway that knocked us all out, but there were so many other trees. I've been hearing all the stories. At least one person killed by a downed tree and a few others injured in that one. One delivery person had a tree fall right behind her after she passed it on the road.Hey! Our power flickered here in West Seattle but we didn’t lose it - but a lot of other folks did. A tree fell on the highway and blocked two lanes too. It was crazy!
I am lucky we put the weights on our 10x10 canopy we put out next to the coop so we could keep working in the rain. Although, now that I know we have another 100sqft, I’m wondering if we might add some marans to our silkies next spring and expand a bit.![]()
Everyone around here has loud ones. Walking around during the power outage you can hear them all rumbling away.Cant hear my generator if your more than 50 feet away. It's running on Eco because no huge draw. It being super quiet was one reason we wanted this one. That way it doesn't attract tweakers
