Had a very wet drive to Lakewood tonight with my semi and 2 trailers. I swear I am gonna have to get the pontoons out soon.

While hiking I've been concerned about many things but bees never been one of them. Just unreal.

Wow. I agree. I've been concerned about the possibility of falling, or even worse, the possibility of one of my kids falling - but a bee attack has never gone through my mind out there. I wonder if they stepped on a nest - or thought it was funny to mess with one.

We're very strict with the "Leave No Trace" guidelines with our kids... I'll add this story to an example of why you don't mess with wildlife. The boys in our Bear Cub Den are making "Leave No Trace" posters on Thursday. I'm going to use this story. Thanks for posting this Greg.

At least chickens are much cheaper than a boat/ After all the definition of a boat is "A boat is a hole in the water, in which you pour your money into." At least with chickens a person gets eggs, and you can always eat them if you become desperate.

Isn't that the truth! When my husband was in his 20s (he's staring down 50 - it's an old boat - but in surprisingly great condition for it's age), my sister-in-law and husband went together and bought our boat. While it is nice to have for the kids, every year when we pull it out, clean it up, etc. we joke about how "The best day in a man's life is they day he buys his boat. The second best day in is life, is the day he sells it." LOL!

I wish I could understand chick-speak. This morning, Blacke flew to the top of the huge porch box, slammed into the wire cover, fell back down to the sand on the floor, then went over and hid in the corner silently for a while. I wasn't sure what to do, so I just sat there and watched her to see if she'd be OK. After a while, she came back out and started with this high-pitched, very fast chirping - it almost sounded like she was either trying explain herself out of her embarrassment, or she was complaining heavily to the other chicks. It was pretty funny!

It makes me wonder... do chickens get embarrassed when they do something silly?

Ahem.... I did happen to see the surprised look on the waitresses' face when she caught you with HER cell phone.

I did mention them all because it's not about any one party it's about accountability with consequences for EVERYONE!

Absolutely!! Good stuff! Sorry that people are so offended! We have had these discussions plenty of times, why is it someone always seems surprised that it's not ALL about chickens here?? Go to the MI board, you won't find all about chickens there either? just sayn... I found this comment to be right on, not affiliated with any political party. Besides, Greg posts other things quite beneficial... I for one am glad that there are interesting people here.


Oh I need to also say that "I" am the one that put a slant on one of the posts, but, that's just MHO!! Aren't you glad you live in a place you can do that?? At least for now?....
