I was born at Eddie's Air Patch.....then we moved to White Sands, then Cape Canaveral (sp?) then Dad went to Germany, then he came home & soon sister was born at Parks...I think, but that doesn't sound right....
Anyways, all us kids were born at a different base.
Grew up in trailers...LOL
Now ya know why I like small places........LOL
NO...I just remembered she was born at Andrews AFB.....not Parks.
We lived at another base in Texas for a while, too...cannot remember the name of that one.
(Lancaster ???) no it is Lackland I think....hey I was little then !
My poor Mother, can you imagine 4 kids & having to move, and move, and move ??????????????????
I have hundreds of the pieces cut, and sewn with the small white block on 1 end, they are easy to sew together from there.
Maybe I can find a pic of the final quilt....
JB here is the quilt...it is huge, floor to floor & is extra long to accomidate pillows as a bed spread does, Queen bedspred.
One day (soon) I am going to send it off to a woman in So Bend here who can long arm quilt it.
I have several STUFFED one gallon ziplocks of these pieces with the white square already sewm to the long piece, if you'd like to have them, let me know.
Would not take much to sew them together, and sash them.

I got the quilt pattern I ordered from Etsy yesterday, and started needlepointing up a sample block. I'm going to need to make the blocks much larger. I'll try doubling it to see how that looks.

Want some pieces let me know !
If you have a sewing machine, these things just fly together so fast, before you know it you have this long "braid"
After many long braids, you simply sew sashing or sew them without sashing.
Would make an awesome table runner too as you can just keep going longer & longer................then edge with whatever...a small lace even.
