One of the three sings the egg song. But together, they like to *sing* in the mornings to clear their lungs for the day.

Anyway you all work it would be great. I have a month old son to watch, so getting out of the house for long periods of time is hard. (So many thanks in advance!)

oh yes, and my little roo starts "singing" about 5:15 in the morning --- which is one reason why the coop is in the middle of our property and why I leave them shut in there until a decent hour in the morning (usually between 7 and 8), when DH goes out, lets them into the run, and replenishes the feed and water

we have a lot of loudly singing wild birds around here anyway, who start up before the roo does ... the chipmunks and squirrels get into the chorus too ... this area may be mostly rural but it's not QUIET ...

love this - very creative!

All three of my girls are loud...not just the egg call...they seem to moan all day waiting for the favorite nest box to become available and the chicks peep all day. Love them anyway!

Rob is taking araucanas and ducks and I, of course, have my superior Polish with which to trounce you all. Well, actually I had to look through every bird I had to find 4 with tails- (See the amazing crested araucanas- gotta love molting season) but I always HOPE to do a little trouncing.

UG.. you and your trouncing... i leave shows with your foot prints upon myself. lololol! DO PLEASE check your texts.

I got the roo! He's larger than I expected...but should be okay for my bantam hens if I keep an eye on him....he's really dirty and oh by the way, he's got mites, too.

BUT I see potential....

Tonight, he's getting a bath with whitening shampoo & vinegar, treated for mites, his nails & beak trimmed and a thorough looking-over. Then off to quarantine. The poor thing is panting & looks miserable. I'm guessing the transition between Seattle's weather and Okanogan's is pretty severe!

Nifty, indeed.

OK do you peeps think it will bring $40.

Well, $41.49 is more likely to sell (people are weird, what can I say?).

Please, someone talk me out of taking Beau up on the Sumatra chicks. Remind me of how hard it is to get anything else done if I'm using the hoop house, and how I haven't even gotten started on the Hamburg Extension University, and how I'm sitting here trying to figure out how to get the energy up to go feed and water the chickens even now...

But, you know, free Sumatras!
