I am so sorry about you chicken, I have corid and used it last year so see if they have that. I dont remember the site I found it on.
Im sure you can goole it and find out how much to give.
Than Id find out who owned the feed store and give them a once over and tell them they need to stop telling you how to help if they dont know what they are talking about.

Im so happy that is a girl..

My son is still home and holding his own. I hope we are over the worst part but some how I think day #3 is going to be or maybe #4.

Have to head to bed so darn tired...

Have my BHB Eggs in lock down hope I have some that make it. I know that one was bad when I checked it but the others seem dark and have a aircell.

I can't get Sulmet unless I wanna buy 45$ gallon of it, Corid is only a mild dos and the stuff I have you CAN NOT give to chicken 16 weeks and older!!!!!!!! What do I do????

Hello Reimiraa: I am in Omak, hope all your babies do well. keep me updated. I just bought babies....I do not think I have the patience for incubators and eggs...would be fun, but frustrating.

I 100% agree with this!! Why do I keep listening to them and why on earth do I keep going back there??? Well I really don't have any other option accept for Del's and they never have anything and they go back on their word!!I don't trust them!! I don't know what to do anymore! All I wanted in the beginning is eggs and now I am in love with chickens and if one of them dies, I don't know what I am going to do!!!

Just for future reference:

Amprolium (Corid is a brand), given in drinking water
Sulfadimethoxine (Sulfasol is a brand), given in drinking water
Sulfamethazine (Sulmet is a brand), given in drinking water
Sulfaquinoxaline (Don't know brand names.

), given in feed

Anita, there are Cenex Co-ops all over (Marysville, Lake Stevens, Everett right down where Hewitt merges onto HWY 2, Arlington) and I'm not sure if the one in Mt. Vernon is a Cenex or not but they have a big co-op up there too. What about that feed store you went to in Sultan? Do they carry any of these items?

Hi All

Its been awhile since I posted. So I went and got the Turkins, THey are so cute!! It appears that out of 4 I have 1 roo and three hens. Will have to build a new coop and seperate pen for them for breeding since they are considered endangered. Turkin babies are so cute.

To all those with sick babies. I had some to. Put them on Sulmet for a week and they seem better. Down side is that sme of my older hens got sick too. Put them on the same thing. THey all are doing well but I have noticed that 2 hens and 2 babies still have a cough....not sure how to get rid of it. They still run around and are doing fine but I hate hearing them cough. I also got my two Blue Marans. I am really unhappy because they have been sick since I got them and I cannot figure it out. Now one has lost her eye and it is all swollen up. Both have been on the same antibiotic and all the chicks are still on medicated chick food but it doesn't seem to help. I am really sad since the two girls weren't cheap and I am guessing they won't make it

oh..have to tell you. One of my hens went broody so I decided to let her have a couple of eggs to hatch. We gave her 6 to hatch and that way my boys could see them hatch.....drum roll please. So last night I went to check on her she has 15 eggs under her
th.gif
not quite sure what to do. I took out a small pen and marked the eggs so now we will just wait. When I checked again this morning there were no more so hopefully whoever was sharing eggs has stopped. The down side is she is on the second level of the nest boxes and she wont let you move her so I am a little concerned about the height when they do hatch...any suggestions?

Hope everyone enjoys this beautiful weather..heading out to finish the garden and yard work before tomorrow..

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the moms out there!!
