I feel the same way about beer and wine. I like the idea of wine but I dont like the taste. It also gives me a headache. I would like to try and make it though, I do enjoy making flavored vodkas and rums.

Wine will sometimes give me a headache, I've been told it could be the sulfites. Some wines have more than others.

I've heard that too about the sulfites.I dont drink but I do like to make liquors for people.DH doesnt drink either- when we got together 29 yrs ago(me 15:him 17) I told him I didnt want to be with someone who drank so he never really touched it! I have a cupboard with all kinds of booze with fruits soaking and vodkas with vanilla beans in them-DH calls them "Lotions and Potions by Tif" ....

If ya really want to get rid of them blackberries fer good get ya a coupla pigs. Goats will do some work but tend to leave a lot and then if ya really want to ya can send em to freezer camp. If ya get pigs they will eat the plants then root up the roots all the while fertilizing the new garden space they are tilling and if ya start with weiners in the spring they will be ready for freezer camp by fall. And pigs are less work and more fun to raise. Just make sure that if ya get pigs get the ones with short snouts. The long snout is too closely related to wild boar and can tend to be pretty mean.

I have been considering bamboo...but would put that along the fence line, not next to my house, lol. Our Sumacs send runners out into the yard ALL the time. Where they don't reach, the neighbor's poplar's send out new babies! Our "grass" is mostly a slight greenish covering that hides all the baby trees that we mow over every other week.

If all else fails...I can always buy those cheap tarps at Harbor Frieght and line the fence with them, lol. That would block the neighbor's view of my yard & my view of the garbage dump they call their's!

I have a Winchester model 94 that would take care of all that stuff for ya, and Illia's bobcat, too!

Everyone
should bookmark this site in your favorite file.
It has most all mammals in it, and the guy is very good at going into detail about the habits of the animals.
The Bob cat loves to spray and he/she will poop in the middle of your road, or at a crossroad or path you or other humans/dog/coyotes follow.
I read all this and studied it months ago and went to look and sure enough I had a segmented bobcat doo doo in my trail over to the creek, and it was a bit moldy, and right on top of it was a dog poop which looked to be coyote, all this 20 feet behind our house.
The coyotes and bob cat vying for the same hunting territory.
And the cat comes through every 2 weeks or so, and drives us nuts and sets Jack to barking.
I do not think it is wise to chase the cat..they will stay still thinking they are invisable until you are very close and many people have been bitten/and or attacked.

This is a way big kitty and can make applesauce out of you in short order !
Illia tying the dog out there may have permently discouraged the cat into leaving, but he/she will go on it's route and be back every 20 days I think it says.
Check out this web site, about any critters.
