I have seen a boarding company website for chickens in the UK - Here is one, and here is another. Interesting idea!

But since there are none around here, it might be good to know where you are located; then someone may be able to offer help.

take care;

Also....fair warning....be ware of anyone wearing a mask...and asking just how your chickens are housed. They may come across as nice asking to just to catalog the various ladies in your yard....but remember.....one is wearing a mask for a reason....hmmmm, wonder why? btw...I have not divulged my exact location for security reasons.

One of my friends lives on an island in the Chesapeake Bay, that luckily is attached to the mainland by a bridge, but she lived off a small farm-road way at the other end of the island. This was about 15 years ago in January. They were having the worst snowstorm in a century when she went into labor - none of the nearby roads were plowed, and the snow was far too deep for their truck. There was a house nearby where the owners had an excavating business, and they had a front-loader. They lined the bucket with blankets and called an ambulance, then put Tracey in the bucket all bundled up and drove out the 3 miles or whatever it was to the nearest plowed road where the ambulance was waiting to take her to Annapolis! The baby was fine, but mom was in the hospital for several weeks with a really bad case of pneumonia.

Hopefully your tire comes in soon, best you noticed it now rather than on the drive to the hospital.
