OK, the only pics I have of my last horse, Tig, were ones that the new owners sent me after I sold him. NICEST people!!!! I need to get an update on him, it's been a couple years...

So, this is Tig, THE most bomb-proof horse I've ever had (and only AQHA I've ever had), I bought him as a 3 year old, and only had him until he was 6. He's 10 this year in April...

(He's the one on the right in the first pic)...

Looking at these pics really makes me miss him a lot, but he has the best home I could ask for, and he's done wonders for their other horse. Selling him improved the life of two horses, that I can never regret....

All my horse pics are on 120 film prints & stuck away in photo albums...Back before the digital camera & computers were invented !
When I ever get them (the photo albums ) out of storage (a very hot closed garage in CA) and they are in decent shape..I will sacn them & post them.
Then you can see a very skinny & cute Chickie in her 20s-40s....now not so much.

I was looking at myself in the mirror this AM doing a bit of make up before we went to the bank, and I look like applesauce today, not good sleep last night.
It is awful at this age, getting a good night's sleep is so critical !
If a good night's sleep, I look old.
If a bad night's sleep I look really, really, really old !

I remeber way back working a day and swing full 8 hr shifts each, stopping to dance a bit at a disco on the way home at 2 AM, sleep from 3 AM to 6 AM, and get up to do it all again.

Maybe why I look so burned out now ????????

I avoid mirrors - maybe it's the vampire in me. Got too much weight to lose and it's just so depressing.

My goal for the year is a pound per week, so far, so good. I haven't changed diet so much as switched from wine to spritzers, and cut down during the week.

I need to go talk to Rudy; he's not used to being so very alone. He's Apaloosa, fifteen years old last September, and lived with his mother until she died last month at the grand age of 33.

Not right now, though, although my sister and her husband did come take the limbs off the gates; now if I could figure out how to deal with the one hanging down by its bark and half a squirrel chamber ten feet up!

Said boo to the young Wyandottes, checked food and water and gave them some vegetables, and walked down the hill to retrieve some of last night's groceries. The driveway is showing signs of maybe someday before July thawing out, but it's not going to be drivable tonight. (Leaving aside the argument whether it's ever driveable). I've got ten more minutes of sit-down and then I've got to wrangle the next load of laundry, go give the Hamburgs and elder BLRWs and Malvina their afternoon look-over, and say hello to Bacchus, who is still de-mossing my retaining wall. The tarp over his pen is still immovably full of melt-water, and even if it was empty I can't re-set the pen until I can move it off the flooded square it's sitting on now. MaybeThursday.

Making meatloaf for the people who like meatloaf for dinner; I have a small steak that needs cooked for me, such a terrible sacrifice.
