OK today I got home from work and went out to feed and water my chickens. Their run has a roof over part of it so that they can get out of the sun. I found two paper wasp nest that werent there yesterday. As of right now they are about the size of a baseball. I am deathly allergic to their sting so my question is can I spray the nests tonight with WASP/Hornet spray or will it be bad for my chickens. The one nest is right above where I have their waterer hanging so I need to get rid of this one for sure. Any help would be appreciated.

I would spray it before it gets to big. I was cutting the lawn when I came across a bald face hornet nest that was built in my kids playhouse.Cool nest, painful stings, bad location.I had it sprayed with some biferin type chemical, and the next day(ok I waited a few) I cleaned it up. The foam stuff is messy and will get all over the run,but if that is all you have I would use it.Clean up or water the area where the foam falls.

I have bumble bees in the crawl space this year.I like bees and will try to wait till winter to remove their nest.Your nest I would get rid of now.Wasps are far more aggresive than my bumbles.
