Watch Your Paypal! All of my money is GONE! :(

I just read your post...I'm so sorry that happened to you. I, too, would want to throw up. Isn't PayPal like a credit card company??...when someone makes illegal charges on it, you're not responsible for paying... Debit cards are like that, too... I guess I'm just hoping you're not out the money

I just transferred all my paypal $ to my checking account. Does this mean my checking account $ is ok? I mean My checking account is tied into my paypal...My husbands business is tied to our paypal and we've had it for years...Lord this is really bothering me..again Im so sorry this has happened to you and the others:(

I am so sorry this happened to you. I never keep a dime in my Paypal account. I opened a checking account specifically for my Paypal account. Theres zero in there, too. So If I get money in my Paypal account, I transfer immediately to the attached checking account, then transfer again into my regular account. If I want to pay for something, I transfer money into my checking account attached to Paypal, then transfer to Paypal. Its a pain in the patoot, but I feel its the only way to keep it safe. I can't believe Paypal cant reimburse you, surely they can see it was a scam. Good luck.

If you do it this way, make sure you dont have overdraft protection, so hackers can't max your credit card.

Halo that is alot of work but well worth not losing your hard earned $. I'm going to take your advice at what you did and open another checking account just for paypal tomorrow!

Natalie, check your bank. If you do online banking, you can probably open an account right on your computer. Thats what I did.

I am in shock for you!! That is horrible! I have my paypal attached to savings account with a zero balance. Money goes from Paypal to that account and then is transferred out to the checking. I never have anything of value attached to pay pal at all. As soon as money is there it gets transferred out immediately.

Thats even a better idea, a savings account. With the fees that banks are charging nowadays, they still may not charge for a savings account. I need to check into that.

The last time it happened to me, someone paid me for something one night, money was gone next morning, I was going to transfer it that day. I feel that someone was able to watch my account because the day before there was about $20 sitting in it, I sold a horse and the person paypaled me a few hundred dollar deposit.......

Chase bank had me close my savings account because it only had 91 cents in it. They said the government was going to take it, whatever that means.
