Waterfall Cove - A Seahorse Role Play

"Hmmm...." Solana mused "At least now I'll have time to work out this puzzle- and people to ask," eyeing the prisoner next to her. When the guard left, she asked him quietly"Who does this place belong to."

"It belongs to a tyrant-king. He demands high taxes from his people, over-demanding tributes from the lands he conquers. He fights mercilessly, punishes cruelly, and feels no remorse for what he does. The only way he is still king, is that he pays his soldiers well. They stay with him for the money, and have become as horrible as he is. I was sent here because I tried to protect a family -our neighbors- that couldn't pay all the tribute. The king's soldiers took me. I don't know what happened to my family, our neighbors were taken by the king. I have been rotting in this filthy dungeon for two years. I don't even know if I'll ever be let out to see my family again- if they're still alive," he said bitterly. Solana could see tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry," replied Solana, not knowing what else to say. "But take cheer- someone's bound to come to our rescue soon. But two things I don't know- what is the name of this king, and why have I never heard of him?!"

"Soon?! Soon?" the prisoner scoffed, "Look girl, I've been sitting here for two years in this stinking place and you say soon? No rescuing happens "soon" around here. In fact, none happens at all, this place is invincible." He was pretty much right; the cells were made of solid iron, there were no windows in the dungeons, and guards were everywhere. One could hardly make a sound without someone hearing. "About the king," the man ((er, seahorse)) continued, "His full name is King Lamechin the Strong ((pronounced "LAM- uh- chin, not "Lame Chin" :p) and why you haven't heard of him, I don't know. He's rather well known in these parts." He smiled grimly. "Where are you from?"he asked.

Meanwhile, Lily squinted through the cloth of the bag, and saw a grand castle up ahead. There were beautiful courtyard gardens and fountains and such. She could see the tiny figures of ladies in fine dresses on the arms of rich noblemen. Everything was rich beyond compare. The tops of the the walls and towers were even coated in gold! Lily's captor neared the first portcullis- it happened to be made of bronze. Two guards stopped her at the entrance. "State your name and business," one said mechanically. "Anea Aspenair with a delivery for Duke Delancy. ((I didn't mean to do alliterations for both their names...

)) The guard nodded as his friend raised the portcullis. The girl continued down a long and extravagantly designed and decorated hall. Soon, they she reached a huge carved doorway with four pompous guards guarding the entrance. When they saw her, they immediately let her through. Suddenly, Lily felt herself being put on the ground. "You may get out of the bag now," her captor told Lily quietly.

"I'm from Waterfall Cove(is that what the country's called?)," she replied, and then continued almost in a whisper," And why I say soon is that I had a snail( man, I almost said dog:) ) with me, and when I got captured, he escaped. Hopefully whoever he finds back in my country will have the sense to get some soldiers to follow the snail back to where we are. Maybe this King Lamechin the Strong can be slightly weakened, "she ended hopefully.
