On chickens, it happens most often on the tips of large combs or wattles. It can also happen to their feet.

Frostbite for a chicken is the same thing as frostbite in anything else....it is when a part of their body gets so cold/freezes that it kills tissue. It can easily cause an infection that can be deadly. Do you think some of your chickens are suffering from frostbite?
