We Quit Cigarettes

Good thing partial lockdown takes place before death rates go up ( = sky high after another 2 weeks).

In the Netherlands we where too late. Patients from the South are transported to the North now because all beds for Corona and ICU are taken. Sick people in Brabant (South) already wait in line for help. The reason for the outbreak there was a combination of travellers and Carnaval festivities 4 weeks ago. And wrong information from WHO at the start.

Here they ask civilians now , to hand over spectacles for fireworks to the hospital.

p.s. very few people get tested. They just can’t.

ps2  off topic, sorry I thought i was posting on the Covid-19 thread.

Well, that was a busy night. Just finished the catch up.

FYI there is a no-alcohol version of nyquil now....

Thanks for that information

@webbysmeme you should probably get Kiki to personally message your hubby tomorrow, I'm fairly sure she would be more than willing to tell him what's what

These days that's all you can get! All are closed around here! I'm just over here trying to stay positive and the news isnt cutting it so here I am listening to church, which is also helping me wind down so I can get some sleep! 😴

Yes, get @Kiki to 'explain' to him.

My gut says that we were too late, and so far the mandate has been left to state/local officials, and most of the country is not shutdown.

So, last Friday night y'all were all up late. What's going on tonight? @Kiki what are you doing ? My little over achiever! 32 day, huh? Look at you go girl. I'm so proud of you. That's why I've stayed with this thread for so long. I want to se if you are in it for the long haul?
I will never smoke again.

I don't do things half-assed.

I will NEVER smoke again.

All of you guys inspire me with the way you support each other, after a normal 3-month checkup at the doctor, I was told my A1c was a little higher than she would like to see it and my cholesterol was on the border of what is considered to be high. I made some changes in my diet to limit fried foods and no snacking at all. I have lost about 15 pounds since January and 2 inches from my waist. I know now how I can conquer some things that I tried to ignore and stay around a little longer for my kid's kids. My first grand is about 18 months old now and he loves my chicken addiction. When he gets to stay with us, he wants to see them when I get home from work. Even if I am tired, I find the energy to go out there with him because of the excitement and look on his face. I honestly feel better as far as my health goes and I can't wait to go to my next check up to see if I have made any progress. They called yesterday and had to move the appointment out a couple of weeks because of this covid-19 #h*it and instead of being upset, I decided it was an excuse for me to make even more progress. I picked up the dumbbells and started back lifting weights again. BDutch, thank you for your inspiration. Thank all of you for being such a close knit support to each other. In times like these a support net can mean the difference between success and life being twice as hard as it already is. I hope to be posting with you guys for a long time. Kiki and others, you can make it and it sounds like the encouragement you receive comes from the heart. Thank all of you..
I'm glad you're taking control of your health!
