We Quit Cigarettes

You're starting to sound like my Mom! Always adding the fake sugar products to her coffee, MCT oil, coconut milk..... I've tried it all at her house. Stevia makes me freaking gag when added to coffee. Seriously, I like plain milk and plain sugar. Not all that fancy/trendy/chemically crap.

I might try butter though.... never considered it before. Sounds gross but might be surprisingly good!
I'd like to ask you to consider, i'm not telling or scolding (like our Mom's are so good at... May she RIP) the vocab your using.

To my knowledge calling these items that are admittedly "newer" to our awareness that doesn't automatically mean they are chemically crap. Trendy, meh. You got me there but, I found out about alot of stuff "before" that happened so.... :idunno Before you get your defensiveness any higher relax them shoulders and just be willing to think about stuff simply as stuff. After all, if I may end with one of many George Carlin tidbits...... (I am paraphrasing like all get out)
Person 1: "See that bird over there?
Person 2: "yeah?"
Person 1: " the next thing that comes out of its butt... I'll eat!"

George :"Now think about that... The egg. Our ancestors were really wierd when you think about it."

Parting humour from my childhood
Did you ever enjoy cool - aide growing up? I did. It was some serious chemical crap & I drank the heck outta it in the 70's and even in the 80's .... We always tried to mix different colors and poured too much sugar in it all the time...... Now adays I look back and shake my head at myself.

Oh yeah...well... I do that too.
I'm a coffee mate junkie.

I like the taste of almond milk in my coffee but every time I drink it my stomach hurts :idunno
I can eat almonds no problem. So I don't know whats up with that.
A) how hydrated are you when you drink it?
B) stomach empty? Just ate? Somewhere in between?
C) tried to drink that combo at any other time in the day? Say, maybe 20-30 minutes after a real lunch or dinner? To test out what your stomach does with the same mix at different times of the day?
I've got a hunch it's not the milk-item but, more time/biological issue.....

Almond milk tastes watery and gross to me. My son had to drink it for a short period of time when he was sick (doc said no real milk) and the stuff is seriously awful!! He wasn't a fan either. No way I'm gonna contaminate my crack coffee with it.

I did recently consider nonfat, dehydrated milk powder though. It might make passable creamer, I dunno

Edited for afterthought: You should look at the ingredients list of your almond milk.

My mother kept a can of condensed milk to put in her fake decaffeinated instant coffee.

On a positively over the top sweet note.....
Sweetened condensed milk!

Ever heard of "Hello Dollies"????

Yummmy..... We have a highly tweaked version the we perfected riund-about my sophomore year in High school.....(we, well... Should say I, nowadays)

Hey now, back off a little there, my friend...

I make my coffee in a French press. And I put just a little less than a cup of coffee grounds in there, per quart of coffee. Okay? It's like crack coffee and yeah sometimes it's almost half milk just to make it drinkable:lau
ROFLOL so you don't have a coffee cup you have a Truckers Mug for your crac--- erm, coffee. I get it.

:caf

Yes, I pretty much drink coffee out of a bucket. I have to, to get through life with kids and school and other life activities. Especially school. When you are up all day taking care of kids or in class, then doing homework for hours until late at night after they pass out, waking up multiple times to nurse the younger one then getting up at the ass crack of dawn to do it all over again..... yeah, gimme some coffee.
