Yup, nothing helps the smell nor consistency of the cecal, not ever fermenting their feed
However I still prefer FF

Haha.....I know, right!?Also, part of the dreadful nature of cecal poop is it has a peculiarly strong attraction to chicken feet. Right before the polluted chicken begs to be held and cuddled in your lap.

Or right before they go in nest to lay!
They drop it then turn around and walk right thru it!
I've seen them walk past it & around it but when I go to pick it up, they step in it
...and I just roused the broody for a stroll, boy was she backed up!!I think we all would choose the option of "no cecals" if there were such a button on a chicken!
Thank goodness I have a separate run off the broody partition,Broodies seem to be able to greatly magnify the cecal effect. The EPA might even be inclined to ban them or order an air pollution filter.
