Yup, nothing helps the smell nor consistency of the cecal, not ever fermenting their feed However I still prefer FF

Oh so very true I've seen them walk past it & around it but when I go to pick it up, they step in it

Is there any treatment for the cecals?

Cecal poops are natural, they are released daily.
They come from the cecum, a 'blind' section of the intestine.
There is no need to treat for them.

...and I just roused the broody for a stroll, boy was she backed up!!

Broodies seem to be able to greatly magnify the cecal effect. The EPA might even be inclined to ban them or order an air pollution filter.

Thank goodness I have a separate run off the broody partition,
and she that went outside before dropping those bombs!
