I brought in a egg from my coop this morning and cracked it open for my breakfast. It was from one of my easter egger hens and there was some weird debris attached to the yolk. It was green and looked hard/lumpy. The egg itself was green and I wondered if it was a calcium deposit of some kind. I've had chickens for a few years and I've never seen this before. Any idea of what it could be? Just to be safe, I threw the egg out and didn't eat it.

Hmmmm....I don't know. I had one egg that had something that almost looked like mold stuck to the inside of the shell. Occasionally, an egg will have some brown dots in the white. We still eat them and are fine.
I'm wondering if your 'stuff' is related to the shell color and just plain normal.

Hopefully others will chime in.
