Sometimes chickens seem so simple and other times very complicated. I have just observed worms in the droppings--now that is disgusting. I am thinking the egglaying and lash issues may be related to the worms. I am also giving fewer treats.

You may want to explore the different ways to worm your chickens. Some use eprinex(ivermectin) or other commercial wormers or you can check out the more "natural" types of wormers such as DE or herbal extracts........Sometimes chickens seem so simple and other times very complicated. Soooo, now we know! (LOL) I saw this one time in my coop and grossed completely out. I thought it was an egg that developed inside out. I agree that it is nice to have something to call it. I particularly liked the toughest chick award, THAT was funny. I am new to posting, been reading here for years, and seem to have gone on a posting spree this morning. Guess it was time to reach out to others that won't think I'm a freak like all my neighbors.
Cool, but still definitely, gross. I hope I don't ever see another one up close and personal.
