Hi everyone, I need help with identifying an egg issue. This is the second day that I have had what is pictured below. The first day I thought two of me hens laid a soft egg in the same box, but this happened in the yard today and they are connected. One is a soft shell and other barely has a shell at all and is squishy. Anyone know what may have caused this? Thanks for your help! btw, this is from one of my easter eggers so it should be green as well.

2 yolks got released at the same time, and they got connected while being made. Both are soft shelled. All of this can be normal with new layers. Make sure you are offering oyster shell on the side for extra calcium for them to take as they need it. As the pullet's body adjusts to laying, you will get normal eggs.

thanks so much. I thought it odd since it happened two days in a row and they have all been consistently laying since sept/oct. They do have a tray of calcium, so I assumed this would not happen. Again, thanks!
