WEIRD or ODD Eggs pics!!!! :)

Pics
Is it soft and squishy? I had one that was very similar. There was no shell, just membrane and it wiggled like jello.
No it was hard like a normal egg and the stem was too. I have had all kinds, wrinkled, soft, jelly, no shell, no yoke, but this was the weirdest.

Wow! that's weird and crazy at the same time. My mom said it's a double yolker if you got the 2 chickens this year that's why their eggs look so funky. We had ducks last year andthey were laying eggs last year too. But their their eggs were funky and soft too. so that's only reason I could think of.

Ok, now I know this isn't just my birds who lay strange sizes and odd looking eggs.
Also 2 weeks ago they boycotted me and only laid 2 eggs for 2 days. I built a new pen as they cant free range when the garden is young so perhaps they were mad?
They are now back to laying the 5 to 6 per day. Getting ready for the super hot weather in Indiana.
They all seem happy now.
Yes they could've been mad at you. I understand about the young garden, it's hard to keep them out. Have you seen the extremely active Indiana thread? And it looks like we have some nice, cooler, 70's weather coming up next week. It's been a long, cold spring.

I got a couple of them today. This long, thin egg was waiting for me in a nesting box yesterday. Because of the rainy weather, it was very dark in the coop, and I was going mostly by feel, so when my hand closed around this unusual shape, I was rather taken aback.

Then there is this egg. Again, collected in the dark, when my hand closed around it, I was like, "oh, man, SOMEONE put in some overtime on this one!"

Here it is pictured in the middle with a "normal" sized egg on the right and one of our "jumbo" eggs on the left for comparison. I haven't yet tried to put this monster in an egg carton so I don't even know if it will fit.

Here is one from a while ago. I got another one that looks almost exactly like it. The white egg is a medium.
One of my hens has consistently for about 2 maybe 3 weeks laid eggs that look just like those. She is an Isa Brown. Is she not getting something she needs I feed Grahms Organic layer mesh and add grit, oyster shell and omega. She free ranges about 5 to 7 hours a day depending on my schedule.

She is just one year old. When they moult do they lose feathers? Because she hasn't lost any feathers. She is full and beautiful with feathers. I guess I need to find out more about moulting.

lol, i nevcer noticed my redstars moult either, and i had a flock for 3yrs once ( i rotate them around 2 years) and didnt notice if they did either, you got me!! let me know what you discover
