I love winter Outside almost every day all dayGood afternoon I was out at sunrise breaking ice filling water. Working on DDs car . Need to set a better roll of hay in for the ninny goats . Its water every couple of hours .Fill the coffee cup about the same . Its a beautiful day. Pond ice here is at least six inch's thick . Word to the wise don't dive in unless you gots a really hard head J/S

Here's the frizzle cockerel I kept this year. He's not looking his best in this picture since he's a bit hunched up against the cold. I'm gonna try to get better pictures when it's not so ridiculously freezing.

He's pretty! I have a frizzle bantam cochin growing out, thinking its a pullet so far, very dark. Sometimes she looks more blue, sometimes she looks black. Mom is blue, dad is blue mottled.

She's cute! This guy is half mottled cochin and is out of Leo, who is mostly ameraucana and marans and then whatever his breeder used to add the frizzle gene.

Goin off the Anti depressants too. half dose yesterday today and tomorrow then quarter dose for the rest of the week.. then off. All in prep for surgery....

Well that was fun. 4 guys posted with shotguns, 2 of us 'driving' and a guy in an ATV 'driving' - No fox and no fresh tracks (That's a good thing.) I was afraid THEY were going to kill my deer. We jumped him, and he ran behind one poster. Jumped him again, and he ran towards another - saw him and doubled back and jumped the fence. He has survived to live another day. After the drive which took about 2 hours we spent the next 3 hours figuring out how/where the fence was shorting out allowing the fox and a couple of cats access to the club grounds. Did some maintenance/repairs, and hopefully we are once again predator free.

Edited to add that my butt is dragging on the bottom rung. That's the most exercise I have had in a month. I'm finding out that old guys get out of shape fast.
