We have the same deal going here..... Land is still cheap here compared to downstate.... But lucky there really hasn't been a "BOOM" because we are so far away ....I mean seriously it's over an eight hour drive to Detroit. So most people still stay below the bridge.started getting too populated around here a few years ago because land was cheap so all the city folks started buying up the lake lots, then the just off the lake lots when gas was cheap and disposable income was up. Thankfully that came to screeching halt and now all those fancy "vacation/retirement houses they built are up for sale and nobody's buying. Guess they found out what it really means to live or even vacation up here once you take a good look at what's NOT here.![]()
