Good saturday afternoon.Wow some of you'll got snow .Ship me some .reminds me of when icecycals formed on my beard while skiing high black daimonds .For sure have to drive to see snow now.Just always liked snow just we don't get much .Stay warm and safe.

Oh, I wish! But no, it’s a gas fireplace with a battery start if the electricity goes out. DH does not want to have to deal with cutting wood, etc. I’m OK with that.

Gas fire places use a lot of gas .mine only worked for a little while and I put infared space heaters in front of them .They use a third of the gas a fire place will and heat better.@shawluvsbirds Happy Belated Birthday

It won't be running all the time. Mostly I want it for heating the basement when the kids are home, or the electricity goes out. We have floor heat down there, but it's super expensive to run. It was fine when the boys were home (their bedrooms are in the basement), but I can't justify spending $300/month to keep it warm when no one is down there most of the time.
