Will probably want eggs again from you though... the 2 bronze girls are only good for boy toys as far as I'm concerned... my poor Narri girls are molting HARD right now! Yesterday I saw a few feathers dropping, today one poor girl has a bare neck and shoulders...

Nope, not for gender... but the smaller ones *usually* tend to be deeper fibro from what everyone has reported, and what I've seen so far...

He is! He even turned down the 2nd Percocet I think he'll be ok until the nerve blocks wear off. But he's in very good spirits and feeling pretty good. I just got home, am exhausted! Why is is so tiring sitting around a hospital all day? Lol

Glad to hear he's doing well. Hopefully it continues and he heals quickly.

I just hope she does it quick so she gets back to laying for when you're ready for eggs!!

Yeah, that girl looked super miserable... put her head down so I could see the full swath of porcupine quills...

Oh, I know it's fine for now... but in a week... or so... I gotcha...

No prob... and combs in my first batch popped up quick on the boys... but the last one I hatched directly from cj, I swore it was a pullet til it was 3 or 4 months old! Nope, he's a boy... and still has a tiny comb...

So some do, some don't...

ETA: I haven't even looked at any of my own hatched ones to sort genders yet at all... just did first major cull for stubs...

Glad the hubs is doing well WV! Puddin, I hope you can get to the bottom of it and that its a simple fix but good deal on keeping stuff on hand! We do have a chicken vet but sometimes if you can catch it and can tell what it is its better than having to wait for an appointment. Nice job on the xmas gift Phil-she will love it!!! I'm gonna take some stuff to help me sleep and wrap a couple gifts as I am dozing off. I can tell I did a lot today-wrist hurts like heck. Chaos I will wrap your wet dog cologne first!!!

New bator came so thats got to get plugged in and running too. I let my eggs sit a day before I set them to let the air cells settle so I can get it going tomorrow. Have a good night all

Martin got into my coop. Killed a BSL hen, took a toe off my 8yr old hen, (??) murdered Tucson and Heather, and severely injured Chrissy.
I flushed the [insert word here] martin out from under its pallet hideout with boiling water and starting fluid, then ended it with a shovel.... Nothing and nobody messes with my babies and gets away with it.


My babies.... I'm in shock.... Still don't believe it really happened. It can't have. It must be a bad dream...

I feel terrible.
