Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

with no more pip or zip you are ok opening it at this point.

It was definitely stuck to the membrane, other than a slightly curled foot it seems just fine.

As for the unpipped eggs one look like it might have internally pipped but there was no peeping when I tapped it, the other didn't look like it had internally pipped.

Does this look shrink wrapped? It did all the zipping this morning but isn't getting anywhere with the pushing.

I wouldn't call that shrink wrapped, but if it can't push the cap off, then there probably is some membrane stuck to it.

I wish whoever came up with the "shrink wrap" term would...... ugh... family friendly.... never mind.... LOL

That's a good lesson on not letting one go too long once it starts zipping. They do rest, but once they start zipping, they need to continue. Good job Dan.

I know they rest but I was starting to get a bit concerned last night before it started zipping, it was one of the ones that pipped on day 25.

:D

Oh, WV, I got 2 of butterball daughters I held on for my breeding pen. I've got a really nice blue and 2 really nice mauves. The mauve cockerel is really small and pretty. I kept a blue who is nicer than his father (but is larger than the mauve) and a black cockerel. Have to test to see if the black and blue cockerels carry chocolate. If one of them doesn't then I'm separating them out with the blue and black girls for a bbs pen.
