Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Thanks, Ravyn. Everything here is fine, and if it turns to crap we have the generator and enough propane to run the house for a week. One advantage to being old and retired is that we no longer need to leave the house unless we want to. Daughter and SIL can both work from home and the one grandkid who is home has no school today. My world is protected.

they are still calling for 24 ".
DW would be happy with a tenth of that

I am by no means a 'prepper', but we have several months worth of feed on hand.

I was a boy scout, and my key motto is "Be Prepared". Princes calls me a bit compulsive - among other things.

Actually we have several months of 'food' on hand. 'Feed' - about 2 weeks worth.

Started with snow, turned to sleet and now back to snow. Neighbor just plowed the driveway - he'll return once storm is finished. I shoveled the front sidewalk, porch, part of the deck and the deck steps. It's heavy stuff because of the period of sleet. Glad that I am still physically able to do this. When I get old

, I may have to become your neighbor.

Road has been plowed and accumulation will be less than predicted. We live slightly North of mid state. North of here (where daughter and family live) they are still calling for 24 ".

Hey, this is nothing compared to what Phil and others deal with. Biggest problem is that if you have to drive there are idiots out on the road. While working I HAD to get to work. I was the manager of a research animal colony. In 25 years there was only 1 time that I couldn't get there, and thankfully my assistant was able to make it in that day. Now I just pace the house and look out the windows.
