WV...All I did was "like" once it settled back down. I'd just get in trouble too.. Sometimes the brain to mouth filter switches off.![]()
Everyone meet Speckie.

Speckie is a seven year old barred rock hen. Her owner, a coworker of mine, had her since she was a chick. Sadly, a fox got Speckie's last sister last week. Her owner's house is up for sale and she wasn't sure if she would end up in a place where chickens were allowed after the sale, so she didn't want to add to her flock.
So she called me up and asked me if I would take her. She assured me she was still laying. I said yep, I'll take her. My coworker kept saying things like it was okay if I changed my mind and was so grateful that I was taking her. I kept thinking "she's one more chicken. Do you know how many birds I have? She's no work at all and the feed she'll eat is pretty much negligible compared to what I already go through."
So she got settled in tonight. She's bonding with two roosters I had to add to my flock and in about a week or so they'll go in as a group. She's a BIG girl. Has spurs, too. She doesn't take crap from the AC rooster she's in with. He danced for her. She was not impressed.
What really cracked me up though is this. Jean's flock has been closed ever since she got the chicks so I really wasn't concerned about diseases or anything, but I stilled asked about them because better safe than sorry. She assured me Speckie's never been sick.
Then she left this for me at work

The pugs are here, the pugs are here.So far the one dog crated/the other free system is working. Both pooped outside, and neither has peed in the house ----------- yet. Their buddy , Jeter, the black lab is here too. She is a sweetheart and lots of fun. Hope that I can keep them 'flea free'.
Guess I missed that. Probably best. My fingers might get me in trouble.
Good luck.

It's been fun , but it's time for me to say goodnight.
DH is off tomorrow thru sat and got a few projects to work on so it'll be busy, unless it rains, then it'll just be lazy days hanging out inside.
Y'all have a great night.
