Give her a hug for me.
I will. A gentle one, of course.

Banty I hope she makes it through.

Speaking of ducks, I have a question of what breed lays the best? I want my own source of eggs to paint and I love how colorful the eggs can be and they are less chalky then the goose eggs I have used.

Danke.
Banti, animals deal with pain much better than people... not saying they don't feel it, but they have a different way of dealing with it than we do... and no, you don't want her to try and jump up and run around yet...

The swelling is more of concern... but as long as it doesn't interfere with her breathing or cause any other issues, just monitor it... trauma, especially very damaging trauma, takes time to recover from... take it slow and easy with her and just be patient... you're doing your best and very well...
Thank you very much. I'll skip the Aspirin then...

Her breathing seems to be normal from far off, get heavier when I get too close, and then settle down once I stop moving. I'm trying not to bug her too much....

Nice! I have wanted a pet snake but since I have small rodents as pets, and some people who live in the same house I do don't look on snakes too kindly I haven't had the chance to get one yet.:p

Yeah I read they can live upwards of 20 years :th LOL there's several people here who aren't too fond of snakes but the grandbabies named it ;) :yesss:

alright, all of them of the cheap breeds too thank god XD
I have had good luck with pekins during their first year. After that they tend to get too heavy and lay half as much as they did at first. Runners are very good, khaki are too. Ancona are very good layers. I've heard that welsh harlequins are but never had them.
