One of our neighbors horses got out during the night and was hit by a truck . Driver's okay but the deputy had to put the poor animal down.

so sad, this happened to a neighbors horse a long time ago but it was hit by a state snow plow

Chrissy has made more small improvements. When I refilled her water (which had gone dry coz I actually slept last night ) she lifted her head 2 more inches to swallow better instead of keeping her head down.

Can anyone ID this worm for me? Came out of a cockerel we wormed yesterday with Safeguard.

That's a very small 3in chartreuse zip tie for comparison.

quiet. DW and family will be in church then back to ours for some food and that's it, day done. I much prefer Xmas back home in the UK. Most of DWs family live in the states so its less of a get together.

These pond dwellers ain't short winded for sure Glad your day was good nothing better than doing what you love . I had a mixed day mostly work. I don't know about you but I'm sick of Christmas music by this time every year  Today  me and DW went to the center to have Christmas lunch with Ben . One of the young ladies who works there is a music major at MTSU and plays the violin .She was awesome and played Christmas music for an hour or two . It was so relaxing and she played so beautifully .Me and Ben  sat behind her and listened to it all . I almost fell asleep . Found out all the concert's at the college are free so we're going to try and take Ben to one . That part of my day was great .

I never get sick of christmas music...

You got me wanting to go fishing . Must be contagious . The ice hole thing I'm not sure about though. If I want to sit looking at Iceholes I'll just drive to town. I'll see a bunch on the road

Don't know what it is but Ice fishing is just specail to alot of us around here. Some people here don't even fish in the summer but spend our winter sitting over holes in the ice.
Ice fishing is just a great inexpensive way to pass time during the long wintertime here.... You don't need a expensive fancy boat..a good shack cost a few hundred dollars.
