I think I'm going to try to run a combo of wing bands and zip ties. Maybe tag birds both ways. I like I can easily see the zip ties whereas the wing bands are typically hidden by the feathers.
I also like the wing bands can't come off whereas zip ties do break or fall off.

I don't think my adults are gonna appreciate the wing bands

I'm going to toe punch and zip tie... I like the toe punches cuz I don't have to worry about them losing them, getting to tight, fading, etc...

I'm going to toe punch and zip tie... I like the toe punches cuz I don't have to worry about them losing them, getting to tight, fading, etc...

my only real concern is hatch year for the wing bands. I can zip tie for seperate lines or toe punch for birds carrying other colors, etc. I forgot I toes punched my brown leghorns till I seen it on my rooster the other day.

Wasn't someone wanting to see what a adult looked like that was toe punched as a chick?
