Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I'm the one that cannot deal with their mess :sick    I  had NO idea...if I could brood outside it might be a different story.

I am very glad to hear it.  I had a Narragansett tom that had a freak accident that broke his shank.  I had to cut the bone clean and it healed over just fine.  I fitted him with a silicone and dowel prosthesis.  He had a hard time breeding but otherwise was great!  Since she still has a pad, if she has function in the leg she may start to use the stump.  My chicken hen Peg did.
ducklings are horrible mess makers. I use a small container of some sort, put a wire floor in and then set their water in. That way all the water falls into a tub that can be dumped and bedding stays dry.

Apologies for interrupting the shenanigans, but wanted to thank y'all for your help with Chrissy last December... Recent bandage change on her leg showed that it's scabbing over fantastically, and doesn't look like it's gonna get infected. I think we're outa the woods here. :D

Honestly, I never thought she'd make it, and I doubt she would have if it weren't for y'all. Very grateful for the help I've received here.

You did great!! :thumbsup

And copper sulfate dribbled in the pan keeps it from smelling until you dump it too...

Dang... hope everyone made it through ok...

there were many accidents and fires
60-70 mph windgusts, at least 20 broken poles, miles of downed wires
there are around 8000 people still without power, which is saying something because the 3 towns really affected don have huge populations
the highschool has been set up as a shelter
there are crews flying in from as far away as AZ to help
