So I got him to agree to leave the front truss. . he don't wanna cut into the back. But he said that he will leave the ridge cap on the top open and not insulate the roof so that more air can escape through the top. He thinks he can also make a pull y system so that the Windows could be propped open. How does that sound?Oh, dear...![]()
I'd come help you if I could. . I love rummage ing through stuff! You never know what you'll find.Just popping in to say hi. I've got a big, overdue project going on and can't stop for long or I'll lose my motivation. Two and a half years ago, I inherited my aunt's house and all of its contents. (Actually, I only inherited half the house.) Said house is 3 1/2 hours from where I live. So, we had to hurry and clean it out to sell. We just boxed it all up and it's been sitting in my garage ever since. I can get my car in, but DH's pickup has sat out the last two winters. He has given me a date. If I don't have the stuff out of there by Nov. 20, he says he's just going to chuck it all in the dumpster - unopened boxes and all. He's right. It needs to go. I do better when I have a goal. (After 35 years, he knows how to motivate me) So, I've been going through stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. Stuff that no one wants, but it feels weird to just dispose of someone else's life. I have a few things I'm keeping, and donating a lot to our local thrift stores. Dumpsterizing a fair bit, too. I was out there for about an hour tonight. It's about all I can handle at a time.
Have a great evening, everyone! I do check in from time to time throughout the day, but don't get much chance to respond to things. Just know I'm thinking about you all during the day.
No pressureOh, dear...![]()
Those were 2 different articles, but similarly written... their langiage in describing the situation is very obscure and the antler comparison is completely obtuse...
Think of it this way, guys... cold makes shrinkage happen... seasons work same way with ducks... it can and does shrink down... and then, depending on necessity, it can expand to necessary lengths...
Never have I seen any actually 'fall off' and 'regrow'... their use of the word 'regenerate' is simply relative...
ETA: oh, and if you cut it off, it's gone... that part does not come back...
Do you let your ducks swim in winter?
