I have 5 Buff Orpington juvies, hatched 3/26, that I'd like to be able to free range on their own. They've been in their own coop/run a couple weeks. Given their age, y'all think they'd have sense enough to come back to the coop on their own?

I moved mine that are around the same age out of the barn brooder to the chicken tractor last week. After 3 days i raised one end of it and they have been coming and going from it just fine. They go in at night by themselves. So id think yours would do the same...

Because people snatch them up. Mostly they only have one of each type.

Nah. I am sick though. I could be loopy from not sleeping enough, and this blasted "oops there went part of my lung" coughing. -sigh- I am a whiny fussy baby when sick.

Hugs to you Al, i don't recall you being sick recently. Maybe the bugs are thawing out?

I haven't ventured out since it first hit on Tuesday evening, but the postman has been employing Dolphins to deliver mail, and DW left for work @ 0dark30 pulling one of the boats.
