I have a severe illness...DUMB-ASSEDNESS!
There are those who would tell you that I've had it my entire life, but that's neither here nor there. Regardless, the older I get, the worse it gets. It manifests itself in different ways, which too frequently involve chickens.
Currently, I have a hen camped on 8 eggs; has been for the last 20 days. I should have done something before, but it finally occurred to me that she & her babies might be better off where the older birds can't get to them, in case the bigun's take to killing the littleun's.
Since the due date is tomorrow, had I best leave things the way they are, for fear of upsetting nature's apple cart, or move her to the tractor that's butted up to the side of the grown birds' exercise pen which currently holds a pair of month-old BCM? At least integration shouldn't be a hassle later, since everyone could see everyone else.
