Unless he is adjacent to you home I wouldn't worry about that . Neighbors on either side of you have the most say, when it comes to a nuisance charge . Easement laws are pretty standard . If a person can prove they travel over someone's property daily in the course of normal life .And have been doing it for years . Then even where there is no written easement, it will hold up in court .The court can then write the easement. The Natchez trace highway is just such a case . Covering more than one state ,the federal government used the law to take private property to build the highway . It is a federal easement law . Very much like the federal law that says you can't keep a surveyor off private land, when surveying the adjacent parcel . Or a proposed state or federal highway . Or now a watershed areas for all rivers and streams . Next find out about his criminal history . For little money that can be done on line. If by chance he is a convicted felon the he cannot own or have a fire arm. Not even a pellet rifle .Again federal law .I know these things because I have had a judge use them on me . Some people retire & go into woodworking, or volunteer for community outreach. Of course, I've got to be stuck near a guy who's new hobby is harassing people.
The guy from waste management is terrified of this guy. He said he's called him 5x already this morning & when he came to take pictures of the easement for his boss, Crazy saw him drive up & was laying in wait for him at the bottom of the road. He said we should've pressed charges even if he'd only be detained a few hours & repeated that the guy needed to be medicated. He is trying to reroute a smaller truck that can come up our easement without tearing it to bits. I'm hoping the other neighbors will go for it & it will one less thing we have to deal with.
I know my rooster is next on his list. I die a little inside every time he crows. I know he's a goner.
You guys are right about him being more dangerous than we know & we are all aware not to engage & not check the mail, etc.. alone. Once he runs out of things to harass us for I'm sure he'll turn on his mousey little wife. I hate to say it, but I bet she'll eventually be sleeping under the porch steps.
You can bet at least one or more of them have been in trouble with the law
