Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Not fair Alaskan, you got the icky end of the stick. When I lived with family I always took care entirely of any/all dogs I had. My mother hated most of them.
Why didn't you mom like them?

From what you have posted, it sounds to me like all of your dogs were sweet and well behaved.

Hello Pond Perps! Had to skip a few pages, I hope everyone is well and good. I’ve been practicing ‘social media distancing’.

What excitement have you been up to??

Well, the virus has kept the hubby home a whole lot more... need I say more? :p
He still hasn’t fully gone back to his pre-virus work stuff. He’s working from home mostly, conference calls, etc. I’ve gone back to work, although we have not opened to the public. Just running mail order stuff, but business goes on, so that’s good.

And my mother-in-law passed away a couple weeks ago. So that was several days of dealing with stuff.

Add broody chickens/ducks/pigeons and incubator hatches out the wazoo to the mix, and I’m always busy doing something!

Oh good grief!

In the middle of all of this horrid!

That is nightmare of mine! (Having to deal with dying and death in the middle of social distancing!!!)

Your hubby is going to go through bouts of being difficult for the next year (at a guess), difficult to lose a parent no matter the age, and grief comes on in waves.

:hugs

We had an “abbreviated” funeral. Visitors were allowed to file thru and pay their respects, and a small service was done. But nothing like it would have been, pre-corona time. The worst part was only 4 people were allowed in the hospital for her final hours.
