Thanks everyone! I do prefer my ducklings to be imprinted to us and the dogs, it really smooths over a bunch of issues before they have a chance to happen.

The birds are a little older now, obviously. My kids named the two girls Nibble and Peek; I named the boy Lurch. Here are a couple of photos from this afternoon.

The ducks quickly found the nearest puddle and went to work:

Their splashing attracted the interest of surrounding denizens.

Cricket's a half-sister of the dog previously pictured. She's not as fond of the birds - doesn't appreciate her person being attacked - but likes to watch from a safe distance and sniff bottoms when their backs are safely turned.
