I can call you 4 or 5 times to make sure your foot isn't infected, or that you didn't get a concussion. But you better answer the phone or I'll have to send the garbage man over to check on you!

you need to give us all your number so we can call and check on you. Hey at least no one was there to see you do it.

Yeah, that's just what I need! I was just posting on the Irrational thread about a phone call tonight from my aunt. I made the mistake of mentioning I had a cold and that was bad enough, thank God I managed not to mention gouging my foot! It's funny that you say "at least no one saw it", because what do I do? Come right onto BYC to post my humiliation!! No one would ever have known!!!

Hehe I used to be same way.Actualy DH and I and grandson took advantage of the nice weather today and stayed outside all eve.We went in workshop a while and just sat.We still had boxes of unpacked stuff in there and DH wanted some of his old Cd's and cassttes from a tote sitting on shelf.Welll big ole funnel spider was in there! Poor guy.I got a trowel and worked him out and he went a scurrying across one of the table top's.Hope He find's a warm spot.

sharing it with us and having a witness are two very different things....

Yay! I was a spider hero today too! There was a big spider on my porch railing, and spiders freak me out bad but I won't kill them. So I look and see that he has a long piece of thread attached to one of his legs and he was dragging it along. At first I pondered whether or not he was deliberately "carrying" it somewhere, lol, but then I saw he was in fact struggling and so I took a stick and ever so carefully freed him of the thread. Then when I was sure he was safe I shivered and ran back in the house.

LOL what no scream/squeal to go with that shiver?

My sister did that one day..she rescued one from certain death, very steadily and tediously she worked to free the spider...when it was free she squealed

"eeeeeewwwwwww eeeeeeewwwwwwww eeeeeeewwwwww" while running back into the house.

I was like "Cindy, why did you save it if you are that afraid of them?" She said "I did not want it to die for nothing" I said "Don't you spray for insects out here?" "she says "Yes but that is different because I do not stand around to watch them struggle"

That's a good one. I don't even spray insects, I just can't kill anything deliberately. Spiders do freak me out bad but when I see them I make a verbal agreement with them that if they keep their distance and don't get on me, I won't hurt them.....

(are they coming with the van now? My day pass is over, isn't it???)
