Well if this isn't the best picture I've ever taken of the coop ❄️🩵❄️

We get very little snow at this end of the world so it a novelty for me :D
I totally get that! I get very excited for the first what we call "plowable snow" in New England every year which was today its just been dustings mostly the last month. It never gets old!

Yeah I can imagine the first proper snow of the season never gets old. The whole landscape changes

Yea totally! And everything gets SO quiet and still, all the birds and animals go cozy up somewhere and the fresh snow just dampens sound in general. Its a lovely feeling! 🩵

Now THAT needs to be a jigsaw puzzle! Perfect for a winter-card-table project!
Oof all that similar colored snow, would be a fun and challenging one for sure haha I do love a good puzzle!

I think there's companies now where you can get regular photos made into puzzles too! 🤔

Sell 'em! I'll stand inline!
For The Record, the snow would be the easy part. All the random patches in the dark trees would be a beast ... just the sort of puzzle challenge I like!

Oh true! The one puzzle I'll never forget my mom bought me this massive puzzle of a Bookshop painting and the bookshelves in this bookshop painting photo had I kid you not hundreds of books 😂 trying to figure out all of the spines because none of them had titles or anything like that they were just like plain colored spines painted books. That one took me awhile haha

Fun fact: I learned to ski in New Zealand! (South Island) when I was 15 or 16, living in Hawai'i.

Trying to remember when this was - I think it was late August; maybe on Mount Cook. I remember that early spring flowers were out in Christchurch. (This was maybe 1969-70.) It is simply the loveliest place I've ever been.

South Island NZ is my fantasy escape land if/when things just completely hit the fan...

Yep the ski fields would have been open August. Sounds like you need to visit again!

We aren't far from the ocean so that makes snow on the ground a rare thing

Are you North or South? I may have read this before, and if so, I apologize for forgetting.

The two islands seem so very different, geographically and culturally.
