I really wanted to blame BP and their dispersants, but here is my other wild speculation.
Lately, about once a week, a sparrow will try to fly into my house through the large picture windows I installed for solar gain. Sometimes they just knock themselves out, but usually they smack it so hard they die of blunt force trauma. I am picturing in my mind's eye a giant UFO using a cloaking device and the birds just flew into it cause they couldn't see it in the dark. As for the fish? Probably something to do with the same UFO.
Note: I haven't had TV since 1988, so I've been catching up on all the X-files reruns from Netflix. I guess TV does rot yer brain.
