Well this is freaky.

Hey, sourland, did you sneak off with my case of dynamite & go fishin' again?

The incident with the fish is over 100 miles away from where the birds dropped dead, the two are fairly unrelated.
The birds were tested for poison but none was found, and many dogs and cats that got a quick snack from all the birds haven't shown any sign of poisoning.
Small animals can be stressed to the point of heart failure, and a harsh storm could be enough stress to do the. Part of the theory involving storms is the bird being soaked and having their body temperature drop too low to live. A natural gas bubble could have probability but no other animals in the area have been affected.
The fish die off is being ruled as a disease within the species.

I really wanted to blame BP and their dispersants, but here is my other wild speculation.

Lately, about once a week, a sparrow will try to fly into my house through the large picture windows I installed for solar gain. Sometimes they just knock themselves out, but usually they smack it so hard they die of blunt force trauma. I am picturing in my mind's eye a giant UFO using a cloaking device and the birds just flew into it cause they couldn't see it in the dark. As for the fish? Probably something to do with the same UFO.

Note: I haven't had TV since 1988, so I've been catching up on all the X-files reruns from Netflix. I guess TV does rot yer brain.

Anyone else notice how Sirbirdaholic is trying to shift the blame. He lives right in the midst of this carnage and is missing two cases of shot gun shells, and two cases of dynamite.

I'll buy the U F O story!

Over 5,000 birds with blunt force trauma..... had to be a U F O.
