thats awesome congrats.
its amazing the ability of these eggs (emu) to go from incubating under a emu have that stopped then incubation started again. I noticed in your weight posting that no weight loss dormant period. then they picked right up again. try that with a chicken egg .
great animals hope you enjoy them as much as i enjoy mine.

I was amazed they survived a 10 hour drive with no incubation... The dad must have incubated them at least 1 to 2 weeks... and then to stop for 10 hours... Maybe the other eggs will hatch... but Im gonna give them 55 days with me.

My emus, or little zebras as I call them, ARE AMAZING!!!

I used to raise Ostriches, Emu's, and Rhea's 16 years ago... and I just started with Rhea's and emu eggs again this year. My Goal is to have 1.2 Ostriches, and 1.1 Casowarrys... but thats a MEGA project.

Egg # 4 hatched last night... its fitting that he is egg 4 and the 4th one to have hatched... Interesting the time displacement between eggs. This egg hatched 1 week after the last hatched egg.
