Welsummer gender, thoughts? Update

Rose combs are a type of comb (very flat and broad on hens, broad and raised on roos), not a breed. Your boy has a rose comb.

I'm not familiar with rose combs, are they a standard size breed?

Definitely a cockerel and NOT a welsummer. Some variety of Wyandotte most likely.

He is a baby white crested black polish. At least I think he's a he. His Pom Pom gets bigger every day!

100% roo, you can already see his little waddles forming and his posture is VERY roo-ish.

Mystery solved!!! I called the breeder....

..And she said Oops! Her friend sent her 4 eggs from his flock of rare show quality Partridge Wyandottes for her to hatch and raise in case something happened to his birds. When they hatched they looked a lot like welsummer babies that she actually ended up selling them by mistake! She said he charges $60/dozen fertile hatching eggs

So, quite the windfall! Too bad it's not a hen...!
