Spaniel Hen - Welcome to the forum! I purchased week old chicks from a local 'breeder' who told me they were pure Welsummers. Most of the
pullets and all of the young males had the appropriate markings except one pullet. She grew up to look exactly like your pictured pullet and,
although I was at first disappointed that she is obviously not pure Wellie - it turns out that she lays the darkest and most gorgeously marked egg
of all the 'Wellie' girls in my flock. She is named 'Gingersnap'.
