We're all hatchin'! Congrats, everyone!

AAAHHHH!!! I have a chick!!!! It's from one of my banty eggs, the ones that I thought quit a few days ago!!!

I have a question now, though....although my wiggler stays at 99.3-99.5, the inside air temp ranges from 99.5 to 104.....will my chickie die??? What if I cut a hole in the side of the bator and reached in real quick after the chick was dry, and put the styrofoam back afterwards....I'm worried about the little thing, now...it already launched itself out of my hatching tray, and is now on the left side of my bator with my 2 duck eggs...also, there were some tiny pieces of styrofoam from where I had to poke a few more holes in the bator....any chance the chick will try to eat them????

Are all my hatching buds asleep???

I wouldn't worry about the piece of styrofoam right now it's too tired to care but once it has it's footing and dry well then I would try to get it out.

I can't get the piece of styrofoam out without opening the bator unless I cut a hole in the side big enough for my hand and put the piece back in after I reach into the bator....I don't know if that's a good idea, though! So far all I have is one chick....I think it's a salmon favorelle/barred rock!!!!
