When I had a defeated Tom depression really got him. After a day I put a hen in and his spirits perked right up. What’s funny- to this day he’s separated with the only three hens I have. The other four boys really screwed themsleved there. Pun intended. I hope your turkey feels better soon. I too have strictly pets. I know this part is a Drag and stressful. I can sooooo relate. Awe. And it so easy to attach to and bond with them. It’s easy to go into a panic when they’re hurt or sick. Let me ask you something- does it seem like he’s doing a Constant shiver because he’s cold or is he doing that half fluffed up shiver and then stopping and doing it again and stopping and so on? The kind they do when they are a little stressed out? If it’s the latter my bet is he is in fact just defeated and in that case would you want a warming light on him @casportpony or will that make him sick if he’s simply defeated when he is put back out in the winter weather? And would it be beneficial for her to put the hen with him tonight to minimize stress and depression setting in? Be prepared though for her to have a fit being isolated away from the others with one Tom. That’s what mine did. But now they’re inseparable.

Yes I did and I put him in a separate pen with her. I went down and could tell he felt better because he was strutting!
