What are some pain relievers for ducks that don’t require a prescription?

I would say this is animal neglect on who ever owned this duck, they should not own another one ever and should be reported, there is no excuse for it

How did the duck get this way in the.first place? A duck would not have frost bit feet if it had proper shelter?

I took him in knowing ahead of time that his feet were frozen. I believe she said he got stuck in his water dish and the water froze around his legs. Poor boy... I don't blame her at all. Accidents happen.

They had a nice set up. The two call ducks had a 4 ft by 4 ft house with lots of fresh bedding and a 4 ft by 4 ft run. This wasn't abuse. It was simply an unfortunate event in the cold winters of Minnesota.

What a great story! You're so considerate to take on the task of caring for this duck. I hope that he heals up quickly and figures out a way to become mobile again.

Happy he is still with you. (c:

How is his mood?

He's fine. I'm sure he'd be happier with 2 feet, but considering what he's been though, he has a very positive attitude. He's a happy duck.

My father told me that he has access to a 3D printer. I just messaged Feathered Angels Waterfowl Sanctuary to see if they'd be willing to send me the design they used for Buttercup's prosthetic.
