What are some pain relievers for ducks that don’t require a prescription?

He's doing great. He doesn't act like he's in pain anymore. In fact, I watched him try to stand on both feet a couple of times.

Wouldn't that b something. Thanks so much for keeping us updated on how he is doing.

One of his feet just fell off. There wasn't any blood, but the bone sticks out a little bit.

I put iodine on his stump and let it dry. Than I applied bacitracin ointment and wrapped it in gauze.

you may have to keep it wrapped to prevent injury to the bone, I really don't know though but seems like you would. I glad at least he didn't bleed. Poor thing.

If you go on you tube or somewhere else on line you may find all kinds of info on how to make something for this lil fighter, it would be so nice if you were close to a veterinarian university where they would make him something, might be worth a try to talk to a vet and see whats available close by.

Even if you are not close, with the internet, you might find someone willing to take this on as a project and work with you longer distance. I think it's worth a try.

Believe me, I will try. I saved his foot in case I need it as an example for a prosthetic.

How did the duck get this way in the.first place? A duck would not have frost bit feet if it had proper shelter?
